It is committed to improving the production efficiency and product quality of enterprises, reducing production costs, strengthening the ability of enterprises to respond quickly to the market, optimizing the organization and operation of enterprises and fostering the formation of modern enterprises. “Industrial Engineering and Management” introduces the basic knowledge and the latest foreign research results of industrial engineering (IE), and it explains how IE promotes the development and prosperity of enterprises. It publishes the research status of IE in China and the research results of enterprises, as well as the successful application and promotion of IE in various enterprises, including promoting the reform of enterprise system, and provide suggestions for enterprises to improve economic efficiency, enhance vitality and competitiveness, and establish a modern enterprise system which promote exchanges and cooperation between the enterprises, government departments and academia. The journal was awarded the Excellent Science and Technology Journal of the Ministry of Education in 1999.
